Welcome to my fitness and health journal. I created this blog because I wanted a place where I could keep track of my efforts as well as share my physical successes with friends. I am not an athlete, health nut, etc. just a normal person wanting to challenge myself. This blog also helps keep me accountable for any goals I set. Don't let me slack off!

Aaand I'm Back!

Been trying to get into a regular workout routine, but with work and taking care of the family, my time is at an all time premium (story of everyone's life, right!?). Tried Insanity for a few weeks, but I got bored with the videos. Need something else.

However, my eating habits are on point. Been eating Paleo about 90% of the time and when I "cheat" it's at least gluten free. Here are a few of my yummy eats the past few weeks.

Still Going Strong

After the end of my Whole30 challenge, I really didn't know what to do with myself. Had a bowl of Cheerios for breakfast the next day and pretty much went back to old eating habits. I've never had a bad relationship with food and have always been good about listening to what my body needed and then eating it. Before the challenge I naturally stayed away from dairy, reduced my carb intake (less rice and bread at meals) and my need for sweets was almost nonexistent. So, in summary, I really enjoyed the challenge and all the new foods I experimented with, but overall I didn't see any changes in my health or body. For me it was more of a test of will and discipline.

With that being said, I have kept up with my commitment to Crossfit work outs. I can see and feel myself getting stronger. Here are a few pictures from the past couple weeks:

In the future I plan on doing a better job tracking my WODs here. Stay tuned.
